Conditions of Sale
All prices listed are in Australian Dollars (AUD). We accept payment via Master Card, Visa, American Express, personal cheques (cleared by the bank) Bank to Bank TT and cash. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to accept any and all costs involved in the purchase of said goods, for example: use of the International Monetary Exchange System into dollars, AUD. in whatever form, such as, Credit Cards, Direct Debit, Electronic Bank to Bank TT, etc. The Goods, Martha and/or Thomas (Trading as The Goods Antiques or The Goods Fine Jewellery) reserve the right to confirm the validity of orders before proceeding and require payment in full prior to the transfer of goods.
The Goods accept lay-by based on the following terms:
- 30% initial payment of the total fees
- payment terms are over a period of 90 days unless otherwise negotiated and stated in writing.
- payments are to be made incrementally, ie, 20% of the total once each 30 days with the final payment for any remaining amounts to be cleared at the end of the lay-by period before release of the goods.

Goods may be paid in full at any time during the lay-by period.
Failure to make Payment
In accordance with the Australian Fair Trading Act, The Goods may elect to terminate any contract to purchase goods for failure to make reasonable payments per the agreed payment schedule. The Goods will make reasonable effort to contact the purchaser to renegotiate arrears payment schedules. Failure to do so will result in termination of the contract and a fee of 20% of the total amount of the item will be withheld from any refunds. All such transactions will be conducted under the guidelines of The Fair Trading Act.
Trade Enquires
Trade Enquires are welcome but must be accompanied by a Valid ABN (Australian Business Number) which shows the business making the Trade Purchase Request has a registered business in the area of Jewellery, Gems, Antiques or associated business field.
Shipment of Goods
Every effort should be made to collect goods in person. However, if shipment of goods is required it is the responsibilty of the purchaser to meet any payments that might be incurred , such as selected method of transport, insurance, etc. The Goods can make suggestions as to best transport based on the end destination and the value of the item, but it is the responsibility of the purchaser to make the final decision.
